This policy explains what H/CTOR collects, why it is collected, and what you can control.Effective and last updated August 13, 2026

Who operates H/CTOR

Hctor.com, referred to here as “H/CTOR,” is operated by Lead Better, LLC, a New York limited liability company. This policy applies to the public H/CTOR website and its email signup.

Information collected

When you join the email list

We collect your email address, subscription date and status, signup page, and delivery status for a welcome message. If you allowed analytics, the signup may also include the anonymous visitor identifier, first landing page, signup-session source, original referring website origin, and UTM campaign values associated with that visit.

When you allow anonymous analytics

H/CTOR uses first-party analytics to collect a random anonymous visitor ID, a session ID, page path, timestamps, referring website origin, normalized traffic source, UTM values, and clicks to featured projects. Query strings are not stored as page paths. H/CTOR does not use browser fingerprinting or advertising trackers.

When you contact us

We receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message.

Technical information handled by service providers

Hosting, database, security, and email providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and server logs to deliver and protect their services. H/CTOR does not intentionally save your IP address in its own audience analytics database.

How information is used

  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve H/CTOR.
  • Understand audience growth, traffic sources, content interest, and project interest.
  • Manage the email list, send requested updates, and honor unsubscribes.
  • Respond to questions, requests, and legal obligations.
  • Detect abuse, bots, security threats, and technical problems.

When information is shared

Information may be shared with service providers that help run H/CTOR, including OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure and, when configured, Resend for email delivery. These providers process information for the services they perform. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the business.

H/CTOR does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising.

Tracking choices and browser signals

Anonymous analytics stay off until you select “Allow analytics.” If you decline, H/CTOR removes its anonymous visitor and session identifiers from that browser and stops future analytics collection there. You can change the choice on the Tracking Preferences page.

H/CTOR also treats an enabled Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track browser signal as a direction to keep analytics off. Blocking or clearing browser storage may reset your saved choice.

Essential security storage

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, such as a bot-management cookie, to protect H/CTOR from automated abuse and keep the site available. These security functions are separate from H/CTOR’s optional audience analytics and are not used by H/CTOR for advertising.

Data retention and security

Subscriber records are kept while a subscription is active. After an unsubscribe, limited information may be retained to honor the request and meet legal or security obligations. Analytics and operational records are kept only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here and are reviewed periodically.

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, including restricting subscriber and analytics data to the authenticated CEO dashboard. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about disclosures of personal information. You may also withdraw consent for future analytics or unsubscribe from email at any time.

Send a request to privacy@hctor.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

California residents

California law may provide additional rights concerning categories, sources, purposes, recipients, access, correction, and deletion. H/CTOR does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Global Privacy Control is honored as described above.

Children and international visitors

H/CTOR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child provided information, contact us. If you visit from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by service providers.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as H/CTOR changes. The date at the top will be revised when a new version is posted. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
