THE VERY UNOFFICIAL PROCESS

How I’m making
software so far.

No bootcamp. No secret system. Just a loop that gets a little less confusing every time around.

BEFORE THE BUILD

I don’t come up with the ideas alone.

I lean into my lived experience, career, skills, and education. Then I bring what I have noticed to AI and talk it through. The conversation helps me explore the problem, question my assumptions, and shape a solution I can try.

01 · NOTICE

Start with a problem you can see.

Look at the frustrating, repetitive, or awkward things in your work and life. Your experience is useful context.

02 · TALK

Use AI to think with you.

You do not need to arrive with the answer. Describe what you see, ask questions, and spitball different ways to help.

03 · SOLVE

Your idea does not have to be original.

Other solutions probably exist. That is fine. The goal is solving the problem in your own useful way.

“Build it and they will come” is not a strategy. Start with the problem. Make something that helps.

From problem
to something real.

I can explain what something should do, test it, break it, change my mind, ask better questions, and keep going. Apparently, that’s a kind of building too.

01

Notice a problem

Start with something frustrating, inefficient, or harder than it needs to be.

02

Talk it through with AI

Bring the context. Ask questions. Spitball possibilities. Let the conversation sharpen the idea.

03

Choose your version

It does not have to be completely original. It has to solve the problem in a useful way.

04

Build the small thing

Make the smallest version that can show whether your approach actually helps.

05

Break it

Test it. Find the gaps. Discover all the things you forgot to explain.

06

Learn. Fix. Repeat.

Useful beats impressive. Progress beats another month of keeping the idea in your head.

This isn’t a “learn to code” website.

Because I don’t know how to code. And I’m not an AI expert either. I’m testing what is possible after spending most of my career solving very human problems.

I’ll share what I use, what I spend, what works, what wastes my time, and what I wish I had known before I started.

THE PROMISE

No six-figure-SaaS-in-30-days nonsense.

No pretending every decision was smart.

No teaching from the finish line.

Just the work, while it’s messy.
